Santa's Holiday Cheer Visits the San Bernardino Public Library
As the holiday season approaches, excitement fills the air at the San Bernardino Public Library (SBPL) with the news that Santa Claus is making special visits to various branches. Families and children are warmly invited to participate in this festive celebration, a perfect seasonal highlight for the community.
Meet Santa at Your Local Library
This year, Santa Claus will be making appearances at key locations within the city’s library system. One of the central events will be held at the Feldheym Central Library on Tuesday, December 6th, at 10:30 AM, situated in the Bing Wong Auditorium. This visit aims to create a magical atmosphere where children can interact with Santa, share their wishes, and engage in holiday stories.
Following this first visit, Mr. and Mrs. Claus will conduct enchanting storytimes and sing-alongs at several branches. On December 12th, they will be at the Villasenor Branch Library at 4:00 PM, and later that day, at the Rowe Branch Library at 6:00 PM. The following week, Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit the Feldheym Central Library again on December 15th at 4:00 PM, concluding their visits with a final appearance at the Inghram Branch Library on December 16th at 4:00 PM.
A Gift of Reading for Every Child
One wonderful highlight of these events is that each child attending will receive a free book, thanks to the generous sponsorship from the Friends of the San Bernardino Public Library. Such initiatives not only spread holiday joy but also promote literacy and a love for reading among young attendees. The events are free and open to the public, making them accessible for all families in the San Bernardino area. Being immersed in stories linked to the holiday season can spark imagination and excitement in children's lives.
Why Celebrate at Your Library?
The SBPL events serve as a vital reminder of the role libraries play in community building, especially during the festive season. They provide a space for families to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories. Libraries foster connections within the community and promote cultural traditions, making them an invaluable resource. With Santa's arrival, children experience not just the magic of the holiday but also the warmth of community engagement.
Plan Your Visit
While the holidays can be hectic, planning a visit to the library for Santa's storytime is a stress-free and joyous way to celebrate this special season. It offers an opportunity for families to step away from the hustle and bustle and embrace the spirit of togetherness. Don't miss out on this chance to meet Santa and enjoy the wonderful activities planned by the San Bernardino Public Library.
